Deborah Emont Scott, Louise Taft Semple President/CEO

As the Louise Taft Semple President/CEO of the Taft Museum of Art since late 2009, Scott is ultimately responsible for all operations of the Museum, including its intellectual and programmatic direction, and also provides strategic direction. She serves as the institution’s chief fundraiser and works to advance the Museum’s reputation in the community, region, and beyond. Prior to coming to the Taft, Scott spent 25 years at The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, where she was curator of modern and contemporary art, then chief curator, and also took a leadership role in major capital projects. An expert in contemporary art, she has written widely and lectured extensively during her 35-year career.

Lynne Ambrosini, Deputy Director and the Sallie Robinson Wadsworth Chief Curator

Lynne Ambrosini has overseen the collection and exhibitions at the Taft since 2004, having earlier worked at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts and Brooklyn Museum. She earned a PhD in art history from the Institute of Fine Arts, N.Y.U. Her exhibitions for the Taft include: Hiram Powers: Genius in Marble (2007), Brush/Clay/Wood: The Nancy and Ed Rosenthal Collection of Chinese Art (2008), and Daubigny, Monet, Van Gogh: Impressions of Landscape (2016). She has also published many articles and given invited lectures on such artists as J.F. Millet, Gustave Courbet, Edouard Manet, J.A.M. Whistler, Claude Monet, and Auguste Rodin.

Emma F. Caro, Director of Marketing and Communications

Emma Caro joined the Taft Museum of Art as Director of PR and Marketing in June 2013 and brings 17 years of experience to the role. Emma is responsible for developing and managing communications strategy, media relations, implementing digital communications, overseeing website, collateral materials, and graphic design. Prior to the Taft, Emma was the public relations director for six years at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. Emma earned a bachelor’s degree in history of art and design from Manchester Metropolitan University, United Kingdom, and a post graduate diploma in magazine journalism from Cardiff University, United Kingdom.

Nick DeCourcy, Director of Operations and Visitor Experience 

Nick DeCourcy joined the Taft Museum of Art in 2017. He has more than 15 years of experience in events, facility management, and business process improvement. Nick is responsible for the Museum’s operations and visitor experience teams, including admissions, food and beverage, events, retail, facilities, IT, and capital projects. Nick has a wide variety of experience in for-profit businesses, education, and arts organizations. He held the position of Head of Commercial Development at Sheffield Hallam University, where he handled business improvement in a revenue-generating division serving 40,000 students. He also spent several years at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, England where as Operations Manager he gained his first experience of managing services in an historic building (albeit one a century younger than the Taft!).

Lindsey NeCamp, Vice President of Philanthropy/Deputy Director of External Relations

Lindsey NeCamp joined the Taft Museum of Art in November 2014. A graduate of Miami University and the Farmer School of Business, she has a decade of development experience. Ms. NeCamp is responsible for planning and guiding the strategic direction of all development and fundraising programs in support of annual operating, exhibition, and endowment funding. Prior to joining the Taft Museum of Art, she held the position of Director of Corporate Relations at Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal. Ms. NeCamp is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), active in the community and was a member of C-Change Class VII. She is currently a member of the Junior League of Cincinnati and the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Beth Kipp Siler CPA, Chief Financial Officer and Director of Security

Beth Kipp Siler is responsible for managing the financial operations of the Museum. She has more than 20 years of experience in a number of industries, including public accounting, health care, consumer goods, financial services, nonprofits, and investments. Most recently, she worked at the Greater Cincinnati Energy Alliance as accounting manager/acting controller. She is an accredited CPA and has a degree in fine arts from the Art Academy of Cincinnati.

Elise Solomon, Director of Learning and Engagement

Elise Solomon joined the Taft Museum of Art in February 2018. Prior to the Taft, Ms. Solomon spent seven years at the New Orleans Museum of Art where she served in a variety of roles. She regularly led gallery learning opportunities for visitors of all ages, managed docents, volunteers, and interns, and led the development of temporary participatory installations. She received the Louisiana Art Educator Association “Art Museum Education” award in 2017. Ms. Solomon earned a bachelor of science in management from Florida State University and a master of arts in arts administration from the University of New Orleans.
