Taft Jr. welcomes visitors 3–5 years old, along with their caregivers, every first Thursday from September through May. Pre-schoolers have fun with their favorite adults during this interactive experience. Each program will feature a story time, a close-up with a work of art, and art-making.

Everything shapes will be the focus of this Taft Jr. Practice naming the shapes and then finding them in a work of art. You will even get a chance to use shapes to create your own masterpiece!

Home Sweet Home

Practice learning the parts of the home with the Taft’s historic house. Hear a story about a pair of birds searching for the perfect house, figure out which part of the house each room of the Taft used to be, and make your own paper bag house.
