Adult Group Reservations

For groups of 10 or more. Enjoy special pricing on general admission to experience our special exhibitions and the museum’s collection galleries located in the Taft historic house. $10/individual. We recommend scheduling your visit four weeks in advance.

Cancellation Policy: If you must cancel your visit, please contact us as soon as possible. Cancellation up to one week prior to the date of the scheduled tour is eligible for a full refund. Cancellation made the week of the group tour is eligible for a refund of half of your original payment. No refunds will be given if canceled within 24 hours of the visit’s date and time. 

Summer Youth Group Reservations

In addition to offering summer camp each year, the museum also provides docent-led admission for youth groups (17 or under) of 10 or more visiting the museum during non-camp weeks and times plus hands-on art-making in our Dater Education Space. This includes special pricing on general admission to experience our special exhibitions and the museum’s collection galleries located in the Taft historic house. $5/individual. Chaperones are required. We recommend scheduling your visit four weeks in advance.

Group Dining

Groups can work with our staff to reserve a public table or plan a private dining experience in the Lindner Family Café.

Please note: Reservations are recommended at least 4 weeks in advance. Taft’s driveway cannot accommodate large buses. 

School Tours

Free Field Trips and Special Exhibition Experiences

The Taft Museum of Art welcomes hundreds of students to the museum each year, we look forward to hosting your class. Tours for school groups use works of art in the Taft’s collection and exhibitions to create a forum for ideas, debate, and exchange. To learn more about our school field trip offerings, click here.

Planning Your Visit:

  • All field trips are around 90 minutes of activity but it is recommended to plan for the 2-hour trip to account for time loading/unloading, bathroom breaks, etc. 
  • Tours are scheduled on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 11:30 a.m.
  • The Taft can accommodate groups of up to 60 students 
  • The Taft requires 1 chaperone per every 10 students. Chaperones and teachers are expected to participate in the field trip helping guide students through the tour and art-making along with Taft staff.
  • Students may bring a bag lunch to enjoy outside in our courtyard or across the street in Lytle Park (weather permitting)  
  • Students should plan to leave backpacks on the bus. If a backpack is medically necessary, it can be brought in and is subject to inspection. 
  • All tours include a hands-on art-making experience which can sometimes be messy. Students should dress accordingly.
  • Coats and lunches can be left on the bus or can be stored on-site and distributed back to the students following the field trip. Students can enjoy lunch in our courtyard or across the street in Lytle Park. Prior notice must be given to eat in our courtyard. Lytle Park has a few small tables and benches and plenty of green space for a picnic lunch. There is also a playground at Lytle Park.

Busing information: Busing assistance is offered to schools with 50 percent of students receiving free and reduced lunch and within the 275-loop. Contact education@taftmuseum.org or call (513) 684-4515 for more information. 

Cancellation Policy: We understand plans can change. Please try to give 48 hours' notice if you are unable to attend your tour.
