We make use of industry standard tracking and measurement tools to better understand how many visitors are using our site, where they visit, and other information related to the site’s performance. We may opt to make use of “cookies” to more accurately identify visitor session length, number of repeat visits, etc., but this tracking contains no personally identifiable information unless you provide it to us yourself.
  3. The only personal information we collect on our site is that which you may disclose to us voluntarily through any of our site’s forms or contact features.

We use the personal information collected from you to respond to your inquiry, contact you if you request that we do so, schedule an appointment, or to process your request for offers, services, or discounts we will offer from time to time. Such personal information as we collect may also be used by the Taft Museum of Art to understand and study the effectiveness of its marketing and advertising programs, but we will not share the information gathered in this process with any third parties.

Digital Engagement Policy

The Taft Museum of Art is proud to be part of the Cincinnati and online community and our goal is to create unique content in an engaging, inclusive, informative, and innovative space for the arts online, in our historic space and at our events. Our intent with our digital presence is to connect with our community, tell the unique stories of our historic house, collection, and exhibitions, and build awareness of the museum through content that inspires conversation and interest in our art, exhibitions, history, and related matter across the digital space. In order to cultivate a positive experience for all community members, we encourage audiences to connect, discuss, and engage with one another with respect and courtesy.

Thank you for following our social media channels and being part of our online dialogue with the community. When posting content or tagging Taft accounts, you give us permission to use your content for a variety of needs, including but not limited to educational, promotional, or standard non-commercial purposes. Views expressed by users or accounts not verified as the official Taft platforms are their own and may not represent the views of the museum, its followers, collaborators, or affiliates. By engaging with us online, you are agreeing to comply with this policy and the guidelines imposed by the respective platform itself. We reserve the right to remove any inappropriate content and may report, ban, and/or block users posting on our channels.

Our intent is to further meaningful discourse about art and history. The following will not be tolerated:

  • Bullying, harassment, profanity, threatening language, disparaging language, attacks or intimidations toward or about any party, including our online community members or Taft staff.
  • Malicious or hate speech regarding gender/gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, age, sex, ethnic origin, race, or color
  • Vulgar, explicit, or incendiary content
  • Demeaning remarks about personal appearance, opinions or ability of guests and community members
  • Messages or content impersonating a Taft representative, staff member, creator, collaborator, or community member claiming to speak on behalf of the museum
  • Fraudulent accounts and spam comments, messages, or links
  • Off-topic content or repetitive posts duplicated verbatim by single/multiple users
  • Advertisements, solicitations, and commercial postings or links to products, services, or events
  • Sharing personal information of community members or Taft staff, including but not limited to phone number, email address, physical address, and billing information
  • Private conversations or correspondence between a user and other community members, or a user and Taft
  • Copyright infringement
  • Suggestion or encouragement of illegal activities
  • False, inaccurate, or misleading information, including unproven or inaccurate accusations against individuals or organizations

Our digital platforms are monitored regularly during business hours, excluding holidays, by our Marketing team. Content and discussions created outside of those time parameters will be reviewed during regular business hours following their posting. Staff members will address problematic situations or inappropriate content/conversations within a reasonable timeframe.

Please protect yourself and others by refraining from sharing personal information publicly. Thank you for being a part of our community, both as a friend of the museum and on our digital platforms.

The Taft Museum of Art and other parties listed therein hold the copyright to the images, design, and text on our website, unless otherwise noted. The contents of this web site are available for non-commercial, personal, and educational use and may be freely accessed or downloaded on a temporary basis for the sole purpose of viewing, or for “fair use” as defined in the United States copyright laws. Use of site content for such purposes must include attribution to the author/artist, the Taft Museum of Art, and reference to the URL taftmuseum.org.

Unauthorized manipulation or redistribution in any form for any commercial use, including commercial publication, or for personal gain is strictly prohibited. You may request licensing for editorial or commercial use.
